In all three above-mentioned cases, two numbers are filled out - Number and Routing
number. The routing number, which is particularly important, has several functions. In
the incoming direction, it serves - together with the sub-type of this number - for
identification of the external station. In the outgoing direction, the number called is
replaced with this number and the subtype. Routing in the public telephone network is
performed according to this number, or in another PBX connected by partition. When
creating an external station in one of the first two ways the subtype of the number is
automatically filled out according to the number entered. If you enter the national
format number (e.g., 774 406 553), the subtype is set to National whereas in the case
of an international type of number (e.g., 00420 774 406 553) the subtype is set to
International.
