PART 12: ENERGY SAVING TIPS
Locate the refrigerator in a cool, well ventilated room, not in direct sunlight and not near sources of heat
(heating elements, stoves, etc.). Otherwise use insulation boards.
Allow warm food to cool down before placing it inside.
Defrost frozen foods by placing them in the cooling part. While the frozen food is defrosting its low
temperature will help to cool the cooling part of the appliance. And in this way help to save energy. If
frozen food is taken out without fi rst being placed in the cooling part, then this is wasting of energy.
Drinks and liquid food must be sealed before being placed inside the refrigerator. Otherwise the humidity
inside the refrigerator will increase. And this will extend the cooling time. Sealing drinks and liquid food
will also help to preserve their taste and aroma.
When inserting drinks and food open the door for the shortest possible time.
Keep the covers of all thermally separated parts of the refrigerator closed (vegetable compartment,
cooling container, etc.).
The door seal must be clean and in contact. If it is worn out, replace it.
